Lady Antebellum & Friends Concert

The Kelley Brothers are excited to announce the first round of celebrity musicians joining Lady Antebellum on stage at the inaugural Kelley Brothers and Friends Event.

  Those artists include:

Jake Owen  ·  Kip Moore  ·  Joe Don Rooney  ·  Joe Nichols

“We’re thrilled to have these talented musicians be a part of our event,” said Charles Kelley.  “We’re proud to call these guys friends and I can’t say enough about them as artists and golfers as well.  They will most certainly make the concert more exciting for the fans and the tournament more fun for participants.”

Jake Owen first fell in love with golf and then music growing up in Vero Beach, Florida.  After moving to Nashville he released his first record in 2006.  By 2011 he had a Number 1 Country Album and a Number 1 Country Single and he hasn’t looked back.

Kip Moore went to Valdosta State in Georgia on a golf scholarship, but he got hooked on music and after graduation he ended up in Nashville and had a Number 1 Country Single by 2011.  That debut album rose to Number 3 on the Country Chart and his sophomore album is in the works.

Joe Don Rooney found success as the lead guitarist and high octave harmony singer in Rascal Flatts.  The band landed an amazing eight albums at the top of the Country Charts and 12 of their singles reached Number 1 as well.  The trio won a number of awards as vocal group of the year and has enjoyed success across the globe.  Recently Rooney’s love of golf and fashion have inspired him to start a golf clothing line with his six-year-old son.

After releasing his self-titled debut album in 1996, Joe Nichols waited six years to make another record.  It was worth the wait. The album included Joe’s first Number 1 country hit.  Six studio albums and two more Number 1’s later, Nichols is still putting out hits.  He enjoys golf and has fun with it having said he’s pretty good at being inconsistent!

The Kelley Brothers, who have always been connected through music, are Augusta natives who grew up playing golf here in the Garden City.  Their goal for the event is to bring a unique tournament to golf fans in the area and an exciting concert to music lovers while donating the proceeds from both to charity.  Beneficiaries will include St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the John W. Kelley, M.D., Cardiovascular Endowment, Safe Homes of Augusta and other Augusta-based charities to be announced.
