This “Friends” Fan Theory About Ross And Ben Will Leave You Heartbroken
It’s been more than a decade since one of America’s favorite sitcoms went off the air, but that hasn’t stopped diehard fans from analyzing every aspect of the show.
Over the years, we’ve seen our fair share of “Friends” fan theories come and go — but this latest one, about Ross and his son Ben, will leave you heartbroken.
You may remember that Ross’s son Ben, played by Cole Sprouse, seemed to be a permanent fixture on the show at one point. But then, without warning, he seemingly vanished.
Over the years, many fans have questioned what led up to Ben’s absence, but a new fan theory points to something so dark but also so obvious, we have to wonder why it’s just surfacing now.
You may recall, Ross had a second child on the show, but Ben never met his half-sister, and even worse, there was never any mention of the two meeting, interacting, or being under the same roof — EVER!
While Ben’s name was brought up a plethora of times before the show ended, he was MIA in seasons nine and 10. But why? Could the show no longer afford to pay the child actor? Or was it something else … something such as Ross losing custody of Ben?
We know what you’re thinking, what could have led up to Ross losing custody of his first-born child? If you ponder that question for a moment, it might not be that far-fetched after all, right?
With everything we know about Ross’s character, it’s safe to say he was a very quirky guy. And, perhaps that quirkiness could have boarded a bit on insanity at times.
Don’t freak out about that last statement! After all, it might be true. Let’s weigh the evidence for a moment, shall we! Blogger D. F. Lovett points to some pretty telling evidence to back the insanity theory.
1. Ross tries to enlist the help of a self-defense instructor to scare the females on the show.
2. Remember when he tried to kiss his first cousin?
3. He keeps questionable secrets while in relationships.
4. He overreacted to EVERYTHING!
5. He broke into a love-interest’s apartment.
6. And overall, his character was just plain WEIRD!
What do you think, did his questionable antics lead his ex-wife to seek full custody of Ben?
