Here's to heartbreak and girls kicking a whole lot of you know what.
Miranda Lambert won Album of the Year for Weight of These Wings and Female Vocalist of the Year at last night's 52nd ACM Awards.
The win for album came first and Miranda was candid open about tough personal circumstances over the past two of years that included a high-profile divorce with Blake Shelton.
"Thank you for letting me use my heartbreak and sharing it with me," she told the crowd. She also thanked her dad, a singer-songwriter in his own right, for inspiring the title of the album. Watch:

Things would only get better as the night went on, however. Miranda beat a crowd of talent ladies including Carrie Underwood, Maren Morris and Kelsea Ballerini. "I'm just glad to see females kicking ass these days," she said with a smile. "So cheers to all of us girls out there dreaming!"
