Country Rising Raises $4 Million For Hurricane Relief, Las Vegas Shooting Victims

The country music community has stepped up in a big way for hurricane relief and victims of the October 1st Las Vegas shooting.

Jason Aldean, Dierks Bentley, Sam Hunt, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Chris Stapleton, George Strait, Keith Urban and Jon Pardi took the stage at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena over the weekend (11/12) as part of Country Rising, raising more than $4 million in the process. Garth Brooks even sent in a video from one of his Spokane, WA concerts, proceeds from which are being donated to the causes.

"Let me just say this," Jason Aldean said during his set, according to Rolling Stone Country. "I spent a lot of time, a long time, trying to make it in this business doing something that I really enjoy, and I love getting up every day and playing my shows for you guys. And I'll be damned if anybody's ever going to stop me from doing that."

Money raised goes to the Country Rising Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, which was established to support charitable initiatives related to Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Jose and Maria. Victims of the recent shooting in Las Vegas are also a focus of the fundraising.
