Jason Aldean has joined a growing list of country stars who are raising money for victims of the October 1st mass shooting in Las Vegas.

The superstar was on stage when shooting erupted at the Route 91 Harvest Festival and canceled a series of shows in its wake. He reappeared six days later to open NBC's Saturday Night Live with a cover of the late Tom Petty's "I Wont Back Down," a performance that's now being made available to raise money for the Direct Impact Fund.

"Like everyone, I'm struggling to understand what happened that night and how to pick up the pieces and start to heal," Jason said before his performance. "So many people are hurting. There are children, parents, brothers, sisters, friends – they're all part of our family. So I want to say to them: We hurt for you and we hurt with you. But you can be sure we're going to walk through these tough times together, every step of the way, because when America is at its best, our bond and our spirit, it's unbreakable."
