Dolly Parton Just Issued A Statement After Devastating Loss

Yesterday, it was reported that Dolly Parton's brother had passed away at the age of 61.

He unexpectedly passed away last week after an illness, though rumors have surfaced that indicated that he may have been sick for several months before his death.

On the day Floyd reportedly died, Dolly's sister took to social media to speak of Jesus and her brother.

And Jesus said to him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee." Have a beautiful day on this bright and brisk Thursday. I am spending the day with my beautiful brother Floyd.

During his lifetime, Floyd Parton was a successful songwriter, who penned songs such as "Nickels and Dimes," and "Rockin' Years."

Just moments ago, the country star issued a statement on her Twitter account.

The tweet was posted by her team.

In the post, Dolly thanked her fans for all of their love and support during this difficult time. The post also revealed that the family sang "Rockin' Years" during the funeral service.
