Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren, have known each other since grade school, but they didn't tie the knot until 2012.

Thomas has chronicled the couple's love and now their family in many of his songs. As he shared, he knew Lauren would be his wife when he was just a teen, “In my head, I was about 13 – I think I said it at church camp one time and got rejected. But, probably not until I was about 21 or 22 years old did it really sink in, and I knew from that moment that I was going to marry [her]. She didn’t know for a long time, but I did in my head, and it was really cool.”

The happy couple have been in Africa for the last few weeks and he has been sharing the experience on his social media. He said a few days back in a post, "Got to spend a few days in Kenya after our trip to Uganda hanging with good friends and elephants. So thankful to the @dswt for showing us some of the most beautiful parts of Tsavo national park."

Rhett's latest number one song “Sixteen” is about their love as is many of the songs on his Life Changes album.

The next song Thomas Rhett releases will be brand new music off his fourth studio album, which he will release later this year.
