Little Big Town said hello to country radio programmers at CRS in Nashville today as they played the Ryman Auditorium and thanked them for playing their songs, but they let their brand new song ""For The Daughters" do most of the talking.

The song lyrics go, "Girl don't be weak and don't be strong / Say what you mean just as long as you nod your head with your lipstick on / And pose like a trophy on a shelf and dream for everyone but not yourself / I've heard of God the son and God the father / I'm just looking for a God for the daughters"

As the crowd sat silent, the Grammy-winning group - whose week has included a Grammy performance with Dolly Parton, a show for Dolly they hosted two nights before the Grammys and a taping of the upcoming CBS Motown Special - put all their emotion into the lyrics.

The sang, "Wash the dishes, watch the kids and clean up all this mess / Do my best forgive myself and look good in this dress / Damn I look good in this dress / And pose like a trophy on a shelf and dream for everyone but not yourself / I've heard of God the son and God the father / And damn I love my son, I love my father / I'm just looking for a God for the daughters"
