After reading the Academy of Country Music Award nominations on CBS This Morning, Reba told Gayle King and Norah O'Donnell that she wasn't very happy that there wasn't any females in the coveted Entertainer of the Year category for 2019.

King noted that there were no female nominees. "What do you make of that?" she asked.

"Well, it doesn’t make me very happy cause we’ve got some very talented women who are out there working their butts off. I’m missing my girlfriends on this.”

She also shared what she thinks the ladies of today bring to country music, "Youth, great new songs, a different outlook on the way they do their music and the music that they write and choose to sing. So, I think it’s a death of fresh air."

So does Reba have a special place for any female country singer in particular? She shares, “Yeah, Lee Ann Womack, she’s a great country singer and I love the songs she selects and I just love to listen to her.”

Reba will be hosting the ACM Awards for the sixteenth time on Sunday, April 7, 2019 live on CBS.
