Reba McEntire's latest single "Freedom" from her just-released Stronger than the Truth album, rings true for the country icon at this stage in her life.

Reba says that she doesn’t feel any reservations about singing about any topic. She says, “I am at a great place in my life. So now, I have the freedom, nothing to hold me back, to sing about sad songs, happy songs, story songs. There’s no, ‘Oooh, I don’t want to sing that because that reminds me … Oooh I don’t want to sing that song ‘cause it hurts when I sing it.’”

Reba is on the latest cover of People magazine, talking about having found love again after her painful divorce in 2015 and she says, “I’m very happy, I’m in a real good place. Best time in the world to sing songs like this,” referring to some of the real heartache and heartbreak songs on Stronger Than the Truth.

Reba posted about the song, "Freedom, lovin' you feels like freedom. #StrongerThanTheTruth"
