Thomas Rhett is enjoying his very first total headlining tour this summer with openers Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson and his father: 1990’s country hitmaker Rhett Akins.
Thomas says of the “Very Hot Summer Tour,” “Gettin’ to bring my dad out to open the show is going to be incredible. Russell Dickerson is one of my best friends in the world, and Dustin Lynch is just on fire – just a great group of people who I think we’re going to have an excellent time on the road and really just get people ready for summertime.”
He continues, “You know, we’ve headlined a couple of tours in the past, just doing arenas, but always kinda gettin’ on different tours. Did Kenny Chesney last year, so this year on the Very Hot Summer Tour will be the first time that we’re doin’ a whole year of headlining, half arenas and then half amphitheaters. This will be the first time I’ve ever done amphitheaters as a headliner, which is super exciting.
Rhett will be incorporating some new music into his setlist this summer off his brand new Center Point Road album, which will be released on May 31st, featuring his latest single, “Look What God Gave Her.”
