Carly Pearce will release her sophomore album later this year, featuring her latest single, “Closer to You.”

In the studio between her busy tour schedule and her arrangements for her upcoming wedding to fellow country star Michael Ray, Carly says that her relationship will affect her music and has even affected who she is as a person.

She notes, “Having to work for this career has made me a better person. I think getting this relationship later in life has made me a better person. And I think you figure out all of those different emotions and why certain relationships didn’t work or why you had to go through this or why this one sticks out so much and I think you’re going to hear all of those elements in this.”

Pearce's next album will be out later this year.
