With Father's Day just around the corner, last night (5/14)  in Nashville, Luke Bryan, who is the father of three boys, talked about what he learned from his own dad.

"I always go back to the love lessons that always started in a fishing boat or somewhere hunting," he says. "You know that's why I've always been a champion for those types of behaviors especially with your boys and you children because you get to spent time and hand down values. And my dad was just always big on just hard work and being good to people and, you know, a handshake is the contract, a handshake is your bond and your word."

Bryan continues, "His famous saying was 'Do something right the first time and you won't have to go back and do it again.' And I'm not sayin' I batted a thousand on that but I've tried to kinda live by that."

Luke kicks off his new tour "Sunset Repeat" in Camden, New Jersey on May 31.
