Miranda Lambert talked to ET Canada during CMA Fest and her Muttnation March to find homes for dogs and she had a lot to say.

First of she talked about her new husband Brenden, "Anyone who can accept eight dogs, five cats, eight horse, two mini horses is a good guy. He loves all of us as a unit."

As for the new music she's been working on she shares, "It's been a journey. My music's always been about the good, the bad and the ugly, but this one (new album) is really fun I think. I have this new energy about me I think you'll hear that in my music. It's not a bunch of love songs, so, don't worry people," she laughs.

The women's movement now in country music is nothing new to Lambert, she told ET, "I've always supported women and I feel like now is sort of a movement but I've kind of been doing it for a long time, always bringing new female artists out and you know, writing with them. I feel like it sort of makes us all stronger when we've been together."

Miranda kicks off her "Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars" tour with all female acts including Maren Morris in September.
