Brantley Gilbert’s son Barrett is almost two-years old and for the first time his dad took him out on the road to be on tour with him.

Brantley shared, “I think he did wonderful but I’m kind of in and out during the day when we’re on the road. She’s in a hundred percent.”

Gilbert's wife Amber might have a different perspective, he says, “I think our take on how good he did is probably based on experience. But honestly, after a day or two when he gets his sleep and kind of in his routine, he’s absolutely fine.”

The family is getting to spend plenty of time on the road with him this summer as Brantley performs on the fair and festival circuit, and continues his Not Like Us Tour next month.

The couple are currently expecting their second child.

Brantley posted over the 4th of July holiday with this firework warning, "Happy #fourthofjuly everybody! God bless y’all, God bless our freedom, and God bless the men and women who defend it.... PS.... Be safe with fireworks today.... Don’t shoot multiple mortars at the same time off of a thin piece of particle board.... Your right hand man Steve might get shot in the belly button and sparkle burns all over his left side.... (Steve is okay, but still)."
