Carly Pearce took to Instagram last night to share her thoughts and feelings about the tragic mass shootings over the weekend that left 29 people dead in Texas and Ohio.

She wrote, "It’s been a heavy week both in our country AND in my own personal life. A week of thinking 'why?' and questioning why bad things happen to good people. Last night, I was a little too emotional to want to step on stage— but I did, because that is my true happy place. I’m pretty sure whoever took this photo, caught a moment of y’all singing so loud back to me that I stopped singing & for a moment was brought to tears and forgot about all the evil & hurt that is going on. Thank y’all for a great weekend on the road ."

She didn't specify anything about her personal life in the post.
