What The University Of Tennessee Did For This Bullied Student Should Make A U.T. Fan Out Of Everyone
Mean people suck, but the University of Tennessee just did something to squash bullying in a big way, and we could not love them more for it!
Elementary teacher Laura Snyder shared a facebook post about her school’s College Color Day. One of her students, a Tennessee fan, didn’t have an official U.T. shirt, so he improvised with an orange shirt & homemade sign.

Mrs. Snyder took a photo because she was impressed with the student’s creativity. Unfortunately, some cruel classmates didn’t feel the same, and by lunchtime, the boy was in tears because people made such fun of his shirt.
Brokenhearted for the boy, Snyder shared the photos and story on Facebook. Within a day, it had gone viral and caught the attention of the University of Tennessee itself!
The University of Tennessee sent the student a massive care package, loaded with tons of official U.T. merch.

As if THAT wasn’t generous enough, the University also made the student’s design into an official t-shirt, which you can purchase Thank you Vol Nation! Currently, our website has crashed due to the overwhelming support! We are working on the problem. Once the server restarts, we anticipate the issue to be resolved. #GoVols #EverywhereUT pic.twitter.com/8s8aOAEKAl
As of this weekend, demand was so high for the student-designed that the Vols’ online store CRASHED!
Mrs. Snyder didn’t share the name of the student in her post, but whoever he is, we’re glad he got the last laugh!
