The Lord’s Supper Just Got A Lot More Basic With Pumpkin Spice Communion Wafers
As someone who has massive love for Jesus AND pumpkin spice everything, I’m pretty stoked about this news!
We observe communion once a month at the church I attend, and it’s always a moving & meaningful service. I love taking time to reflect and remember Jesus’ love for all of us and the sacrifice that He made.
I thought I couldn’t love the Lord’s Supper more than I did—until I saw this: churches across the country are now offering PUMPKIN SPICE COMMUNION WAFERS.
It’s not like they replaced the grape juice with a Pumpkin Spice Latte, but some people are calling it sacrilegious to add the iconic fall flavoring to such a sacred sacrament. My answer to that is, were any of us there at the Last Supper? How do we know that there WASN’T pumpkin spice sprinkled on the bread? God made pumpkins and gave us the ability to turn them into a spice. I’m just sayin’…
If this is what Genesis Church serves at our next communion service, I won’t be mad about it!
