In a new interview with Elle magazine Dolly Parton discussed who she'd like to see play her in a movie.

She said, “That depends on when I get it done,” noting that she’s thought of Reese Witherspoon and Scarlett Johansson as candidates in the past.

Dolly also discussed her universal appeal, five decades into her career. “I love that. I think people are kind of wanting to go back to the old ways. People just want to be nostalgic; they appreciate the old things. With all these young girls that have taken to me, it thrills me to death, and it’s such a great compliment that all these young people say that I’ve been an inspiration, and that I still am.”

Parton even weighed in on Lil Nas X and the huge success of his song "Old Town Road" with her friend Billy Ray Cyrus. “I was so happy for him. The fact that that was such a country song, I mean, that’s as corny as any country song could be. I don’t mean 'corny' in a bad way. I don’t care how we present country music or keep it alive. I hope it stays alive forever. The fact that all these other people in other fields of music want to be part of that, are able to be part of that—I’m all about acceptance.”

It's Dolly Parton week at the Grand Ole Opry as they celebrate her 50th anniversary and tomorrow night (10/12) she takes the stage with two shows that have been sold out for more than a year.

She posted to Instagram last night, "The @opry has never just been about music. It’s about family. It’s about love. It’s about moments like these that you cherish for a lifetime. #DollyOpry50"
