Sam Hunt is back on country radio with his new song "Kinfolks" but he seemed to disappear in the last year on social media. He's been writing songs, along with playing a couple of shows.
Sam explained, "Because I haven't had any new music out, I just felt a little funny about being active on Instagram or I guess putting myself out there like I had before. So I guess it felt like from the outside looking in that I had disappeared but to me, I'd been just doing the same old thing that I've been doing."
He added, "So I finally finished up with that twelve months cycle and got some songs together and started recording them and this is the first I thought, 'Well we'll put this song 'Kin Folks' out first and then from there just kind of trickle out The rest of the record.'"
