Sam Hunt was at the top of his game in country music when he took a year off to get married to his wife Hannah and get his life straight.

Sam shared with us, "I just realize how important she was to me. And so I got to a point where I was realizing that. What I was doing might be influential in some way, how I carried myself, the songs I was writing, what I was about in general, and I realized that that was a big responsibility and I wanted to make sure that I was grounded."

He continued, "I wanted to make sure the foundation that I was standing on was sturdy, and I knew that Hannah was a big part of that and my faith in general and spiritually I wanted to be in the right place and I didn't feel like I was there for a while. And so it felt a little dangerous to be freewheeling, even doing interviews, speaking on things without kind of knowing for sure where I was coming from and what I what my purpose was."

Hunt is currently working on new music for a new album coming this year. He recently released a single called "Kinfolks."

In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
