Garth Brooks is inching closer to his first "Dive Bar" tour date in Boston on February 5, 2020.

Garth said recently, “We decided to kick off 2020 with the Boston dive bar,” making his first planned concert and public event of the year a rescheduled “Dive Bar” show in Massachusetts.

The site is a place called the Six String Grill and Stage in Foxborough…a bar that sits in the shadow of Gillette Stadium, home of the New England Patriots.

The February 5th event, originally scheduled for early December, was postponed due to snow and ice in the region – now, it’ll become a virtual birthday bash for Brooks, who celebrates his 58th birthday just two days later.

Garth noted of the New Year, “I don’t know if I can handle the speed of 2020 the way it’s lookin’ right now, but I’m willing to find out! It’s gonna be fun.”

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
