Garth Brooks turned to his weekly Facebook chat studio G to comfort fans and friends during this tough time. He said, “Just think of others. We’ll all get through this, I promise. These are times that we don’t know. But watch what happens when you look hard. You’re going to see the light in all of us. You just are.”

He continued, “Understand that everybody’s scared. Just be patient. Love one another. We’ll get through this. But the only way we’re gettin’ through this is together. I guarantee that.”

Brooks – like many of us – found himself making a grocery run in recent days and experienced firsthand the helpfulness of people in stores, assisting the many like himself preparing for some social distancing.

Garth said, “It’s been an incredible week when it comes to just the character. That’s the great word. It’s been a great, great past few days when it comes to character…when it comes to just whatever that spirit is that’s inside all of us that just makes us kind of come together. Nashville kind of got a head start with the tornado…and then just came right on in without missing a beat right into this COVID thing.”

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
