Dolly Parton posted on Facebook this week that she will start reading to kids every Thursday night for the next couple of months.

Dolly - who calls herself "the book lady" - said that she's been wanting to do this for a while and now with everyone quarantined at home due to COVID-19, she finally gets the chance to find the time to do so.

The new weekly online program will be called "Goodnight with Dolly."

Parton said in part, "I want you to join me April 2 when I start 'Goodnight with Dolly.' I'm going to be reading some stories from the Imagination Library."

Dolly's Imagination Library gives book to children from birth till they are five years old. She has been doing it for almost twenty years and sends books all over the world.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
