Florida Georgia Line recently released their new single , “I Love My Country.” As Brian Kelley says, the song does tend to stick in your head, “We’ve been walking around muttering that for about a year and a half.”

While they couldn’t have predicted the environment in which they released the song, with people being stuck in their houses due to the coronavirus, feeling anxious, uncertain and going stir crazy, they say they couldn’t have released the upbeat, positive song at a better time.

Brian says, “All this pent up energy only means one thing – you know, when we all get to tour again it’s gonna be one big ol’ party and all the energy’s gonna be amazing. Right now it’s a waiting game, but in the meantime, we had to get something out. It was super important for us to start to share this next phase, this new music, this new energy, and this song is just kind of perfect timing.”

The duo recently released an acoustic version of the song. They posted to Instagram, "We’re keeping busy and are excited to release #ILoveMyCountry Acoustic at Home! Hope everyone enjoys this stripped-down version. We have a lot more coming so stay tuned."

“I Love My Country” will be featured on Florida Georgia Line’s follow-up to their Can’t Say I Ain’t Country album, which they haven’t released details about yet.
