Alex Trebek is an icon, and the legendary Jeopardy host just gave us another reason to love him...

Alex was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer in March of 2019, and recently celebrated a rare milestone in his battle with the disease.

Only eighteen percent of patients with Trebek's diagnosis survive past one year. Alex just became one of that eighteen percent.

In an emotional Twitter post, Alex admits that at times, "Massive attacks of great depression...made me wonder if it really was worth fighting on." Fight on, he did, saying that to do otherwise, "would certainly have been a betrayal of my faith in God and the millions of prayers that have been said on my behalf."

Speaking out about faith, God and the power of prayer certainly aren't the popular or "cool" things to do in Hollywood these days. Crediting God and prayer for healing takes boldness and courage in today's culture. Perhaps that kind of boldness and courage is exactly what has made Alex Trebek such a legend all along.

Let's keep those prayers going for continued healing over Alex's health, and for continued boldness to share his faith for God's glory!
