GOOD VIBES: Police Officer Buys New Shoes For Homeless Man

Officer David Hogan responded to a welfare check on a homeless man, but what he did next is going viral.

During the check, Officer Hogan noticed that the homeless man’s shoes were so tattered that they were literally in shreds. So, after making sure that the man was ok, Officer Hogan went and bought the man a brand new pair of shoes.

A dispatcher was so touched by Officer Hogan’s act of kindness that she reported it to Hogan’s police department, who gave him special recognition for the gesture.

In a culture where so many law enforcement officers are portrayed as “bad cops,” this story is a much-needed reminder that most police officers are genuinely kind-hearted public servants.
