SEASHELL SHOCK: Jenny Was NOT Expecting To Find THIS In An Old Seashell!

My Mom and I love collecting seashells, and we've got a routine: bring 'em in, wash 'em off, put 'em up. A few years ago, we found a particularly beautiful shell on the beach, and brought it in with the rest of our haul for that day.

Like we always do, we cleaned it off thouroughly (or so we thought)...

Last week, while visiting my parents, I was helping my Mom redecorate one of her centerpieces. I was arranging some of the shells - including that particularly beautiful one that we found several years ago.

The shell has been sitting in the centerpiece for years, so I was, of course, SHOCKED to pick it up and see LEGS sticking out of it!

I felt so bad for that poor li'l hermit crab! Even though we had washed the shell out, he must've been coiled up so far inside that he escaped the soap & water. I have a rap sheet now that says 'Crab Murderer,' I guess. :(
