Carrie Underwood's husband Mike Fisher took to his Instagram late last night (9/16) to congratulate his wife on winning her third ACM Entertainer of the Year honor.

Mike posted, "Wow what a night! Congrats @carrieunderwood I’m so proud of you for working so hard and using your gift for His glory! Wish I could’ve been there with you tonight!! #acmentertaineroftheyear."

Underwood had a couple of performances on the ACM Awards last night including an Opry tribute to the women icons of country music.

Carrie said upon winning Entertainer last night in a first-ever tie with Thomas Rhett, "2020 man. Thank you God so much all glory to God. Thank you to the ACM for putting me in incredible company. I am more than happy to share this with Thomas Rhett. I am beyond honored."

Before the show she posted to Instagram a shot of her getting ready for the big night saying, "Getting ready for tonight! Let’s do this, @ACMawards! @CALIAbyCarrie #FW20 #StayThePath #ChooseYou."

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
