Emma Roberts Blocked Her Mom On Instagram: “It’s Been A War That I Never Saw Coming”

Emma Roberts had the best of intentions when she gave her mom, Kelly Cunningham, an iPhone. "I was, like, 'Now we can FaceTime and iMessage. And like, how sweet.'" In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, however, the actress called it, "The worst thing I ever did."

In addition to having access to past tabloid rumors about her daughter, Emma's mom also began interacting with fans on social media. That's where things took a turn for the worse...

Emma, 29, is expecting her first child with actor Garrett Hedlund. The couple was trying to keep the news private, but the tabloids picked up on it. When a fan asked Roberts' mom about the rumor, she confirmed it on Instagram.

When Emma confronted her mom about confirming the pregnancy, Cunningham said that she thought it was public knowledge, since she had seen it in the tabloid.

Emma tells Kimmel that she then blocked her mom on social media. Although Emma did end up unblocking her mom, she says it has been, "an Instagram war that I never saw coming."

Although an argument did ensue, Roberts says that it's all good now, and that it'll be a funny story to tell their baby one day.
