Brantley Gilbert honors and celebrates our veterans all year round, and he’s always been very vocal about his support for our veterans and our military.

Brantley says, “I found that a lot of work that I’ve done with the military, it adds a lot to my life. I invest in relationships and once I care about somebody I keep up with ‘em and make sure they’re okay, the best I can.”

What a lot of people may not know is that Gilbert will often get soldiers or veterans phone numbers or email addresses and reach out to them personally from time to time just to let them know they’re not alone and he’s there for them. He says, “You know, a lot of these fellas go through some stuff and it’s kind of up and down with them and I find myself on phone conversations late at night talking about things that are difficult to talk about that aren’t about me, which is really, really good for me and helps me a lot. That’s really rewarding as well.”

He adds, “I think sometimes it’s the little things for me that count. What I can do behind the scenes is really where I think I can help the most. I’m enjoying that right now.”

Brantley is working with the Farmer Veteran Coalition right now to give one person who may be facing some financial hardship, $500 and a free Thanksgiving dinner provided by various veteran farmers in the coalition. You can check that out on his WEBSITE.
