Garth Brooks is quite proud of his new album Fun!, which was several years in the making and was released just last week (11/20).

Garth said, “FUN is becoming one of my favorite records. I’m always scared to death of sounding egotistical…I compared it to Sevens. But, for me, it’s already passed Sevens. You know, my baby of all babies is No Fences. I think this thing’s gonna take a run at it.”

The new album features “Shallow” with Trisha Yearwood, “Dive Bar” with Blake Shelton, “All Day Long” and more among its 14 songs and has something else in common with Garth’s multi-platinum Sevens, too. If you noticed there’s no song numbered “13” on the album (not unlike hotels that “skip” a 13th floor).

Brooks explains, “It’s not like I’m superstitious – knock on wood. They say superstition is a lack of faith. For me, I don’t think it hurts to have both!”

Garth Brooks Top 30 Songs

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
