Tim McGraw has a lot of Christmas memories with his three daughters, but one Christmas memory that stands out in his mind is from his childhood, because it was kind of a rite of passage.

Tim says, “I grew up with my mom and my two sisters. I remember being probably 11 years old or so and my mom asking me to put together a doll house for my sisters. And that was the first time that I actually got to participate and be the man of the house with my mom and put together all the Christmas stuff for my sisters.”

McGraw reflects, saying, “That was sort of a big graduating [moment] to a young man, it was a big thing for me.”

This year, Tim and Faith Hill officially became empty nesters, with their youngest daughter moving away for college, but they’ll all be coming back home to celebrate Christmas with mom and dad.

Tim performed on CMA Country Christmas on November 20, 2020.
