Carly Pearce played a new song at Nashville's The Listening Room over the weekend, and a fan posted footage of the song to Instagram. The song seems to be inspired by Pearce's divorce from Michael Ray. Pearce has yet to discuss the song, and appears to be fairly recent; she was reading the lyrics off of her phone.

Meredith Auerbach shared a video of the new song that Carly sings in part, "I'm already half way over him and I ain't taking time to turn or whirl. I will take a high road even though we both know I can kick him out of this town."

The song continued, "So, I ain't gonna go and tell you what he did but I'll tell you what he didn't do. Treat me right, put me first, be a man of his word... Always fight for my love like it's something he couldn't stand to lose."

Again she started what sounds like the chorus, "I won't tell the hell that he put me through. All I know is in the end it wasn't what he did it was what he didn't do."
