Carly Pearce was watching CBS This Morning with her mother this morning (2/26) when she learned she was a multiple ACM nominee: she has nods for Female Artist of the Year, Single of the Year and Musical Event of the Year for her duet with Lee Brice "I Hope You're Happy Now."
Carly posted a video of her getting a call this morning from her record label president. She posted to Twitter, "My mom and I were waiting for the @acmawards nominations this morning & then I got THE call from @scottborchetta... He tells me I have not one but THREE & one of those is FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR!! I truly have no words. Thank you thank you thank you, gonna go cry all day."
The 2021 ACM Awards will air live from Nashville on April 18, 2021 on CBS.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s.
Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
