Even in a pandemic, you can't stop award shows. The Academy of Country Music award nominations came out today and Maren Morris is one of the most nominated artists this year.

She's also nominated at the Grammys: she's up for Best Country Song category at the 2021 Grammys (the Grammy Awards take place March 14).

Maren told us about being a nominee in 2021, "Being nominated in a year where there were a lot of great country songs, all of our friends are in the category, I mean, 'The Bones' and then The Highwomen also is nominated so I am competing against my own band (laughs). There are so many amazing songs in that category."

Morris is herself curious how the show will play out during this COVID time. She said, "I'm kind of interested in how the Grammys will do their ceremony because obviously, it's still pretty crazy with COVID and LA is one of the hot spots so, we're just kind of hearing little bits of information every other day or so about how they're gonna do it."

As for if she will be performing, she offered, "I can't really at this time divulge info on performance stuff, but hopefully soon."

The 63rd Annual Grammy Awards will air live from The Stapes Center on March 14, 2021 on CBS.
