Miranda Lambert is a trailblazer for women in country music. She cites Dolly Parton, Faith Hill and the Dixie Chicks as her musical influences. But to a younger generation of women in country music, Lambert is their influence.

Miranda's advice to them, and to all younger women, is: "For the next generation of women in country music or in general, in life, I just hope that they know that they’re heard and seen, and my biggest wish is that everybody will just be real and be themselves."

She added, "It’s hard with all the noise that’s around with social media and everything else to find your confidence. Sometimes you find yourself confused comparing yourself to other people and what they’re doing, what their life is, but I really believe in just standing strong in who you are to the core."

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
