Maren Morris On Dolly Parton: ‘She’s Everything You Would Expect And More’

Maren Morris says that when it comes to women in country music who have influenced her, Dolly Parton tops the list.

Maren told us, "There are many women that have shaped me as... not just as an artist or writer, but as a woman. Dolly Parton is a huge one for me, in all the ways, I think I have read every bit of literature there is available on the woman."

She added, "I’ve gotten to work with her a couple times over the last few years, and she’s just everything you would expect and more."

Music aside, Morris was also influenced by one of history's trailblazing women. She offered, "Ruth Bader Ginsberg. I just feel like there are so many ballsy women that have shaped me and made me fearless, and hopefully my name will be up there for some little girl someday."
