Mickey Guyton's performed on the Grammys for the first time tonight (3/15) and her emotional  "Black Like Me" was an instant classic. She wore a beautiful gold long dress and was backed by a band and a choir behind her.

After her performance, Mickey introduced the Grammy winner Miranda Lambert. Miranda smiled and began her song "Bluebird" from the now country Grammy winning album of the year Wildcard.

Lambert's performance was solid as she finished and passed the performing baton, saying, "Here's my Texas gal pal I've know since the Honky Tonk days, Maren Morris," who played  "The Bones" with John Mayer playing guitar.

Watching the three country superstars clap and sing to each others songs during the all-female country star set was nothing less than inspiring.

Country Music Women At The Grammys

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
