Today is National Radio Day, and we’re celebrating by highlighting your favorite on air personalities! They share their passion for radio, and some fun photos too!
Jess is our newest addition to Kicks 99, but she’s been in a radio for a while. Here are her thoughts on her career:
Radio has allowed me the opportunity to connect with people that I would never have the chance to meet if I was working in any other field. I’ve traveled the world, met some amazing artists, but most importantly I’ve made lifelong friends and consider many of them ‘family’. That includes other people who work in radio and listeners. It’s pretty amazing to make a living and have fun at the same time.

“Cody” Blaine Jackson is one half of the Kicks Wake Up Krew on Kicks 99, and also serves as the Digital Program Director for Beasley Media Group in Augusta. She’s a Georgia native but currently resides just across the river in South Carolina. She started in the radio industry as a part-time board operator, and moved up through various roles, including on-air positions and program director for multiple stations. Her passions include fitness and anything to do with animals, as she has two fur babies, her dogs Harley and Waylon. Cody likes to write about pets, fitness and Augusta local events.
