Lady A announced details today (8/20) behind the full release of their eighth studio album, What A Song Can Do, which will be out October 22.

Charles Kelley said, “We’ve rediscovered our purpose, and it’s to entertain and spread a positive message – I truly believe that. I want our legacy to be songs that make people feel good. But, I also think there’s more to our story that hasn’t been written yet.”

The album will feature a collaboration with Thomas Rhett, Darius Rucker, and Carly Pearce on a song called, “Friends Don’t Let Friends.”

Also, Dave Haywood steps to the mic for his first-ever lead vocal on the devoted “Working On This Love” as it finds him delivering an acoustic poem written solo for his wife, Kelli.

Haywood posted to Instagram, "I wrote a song for my wife Kelli for Mother’s Day this year, and as we were putting together the last few songs for the album, I played it for Charles and Hillary. They were so incredibly supportive of it, and we decided to make it a part of this album. Honored they would let me take my first lead vocal. I can’t wait for y’all to hear all the new music @ladya’s been working on, but there’s a special place in my heart for “Workin’ On This Love” when the record is released in October."
