Morgan Wallen has cause to celebrate today (12/1) as he just learned that his album Dangerous is projected to be the best-selling album in all genres for 2021. To date, Dangerous has sold over 3.2 million.
Morgan's Dangerous album outsold albums by Drake and Olivia Rodrigo to become the best selling for the year, a feat that hasn't been done by a country artist since Taylor Swift did so in 2009 with Fearless.
He wrote to fans on Instagram, "Thank you to everyone who played a part in the creation and execution of this album. My entire team stepped up and continues to step up daily for me and for each other. I am honored to work beside you. You all know who you are."
Wallen added, "Thank you to my fans for supporting and believing in me. This couldn’t have been accomplished without God’s grace and without a common love for the country music I’ve been so blessed to be able to make. I love y’all."
