If you're like me and you've been in Kicks Country for a while then I'm sure you have fond memories from "A Day in the Country". It was a spring concert staple for over 20 years here in the CSRA. Always the first Sunday in May, you were guaranteed to walk away having a good time...and a crazy sun burn! This pic is from the 2006 A Day in the Country, it's me and the guy who opened the show that day, a brand new artist at the time, Luke Bryan! Luke went on at Noon and played songs that no one really knew at the time, but they would be singing every line of very very soon! Those songs included "Country Man" and "All My Friends Say". Its a cool memory for everyone who was there to say I saw Luke before he was the biggest star in country music. I think it's safe to say both Luke and I have changed a little in the past 16 years wouldn't you say?
