CSRA News: University Hospital Officially Piedmont Augusta
We’ve been watching the University Hospital signs come down on buildings in the last couple of weeks. Today, the hospital is beginning its official partnership with Piedmont Healthcare.
The new Piedmont Augusta signage was revealed after a brief ribbon cutting event this morning.
The $1 billion partnership between the two health care companies was announced in May. At that time, Piedmont officials promised a $20 million investment in community health benefits here over the next 10 years. No University Hospital employees are losing their jobs as a result of the new partnership.
