A man was arrested here in Georgia for a recent South Carolina murder.
Adeodoyin Babafemi Odutola was arrested this past Tuesday in Hephzibah on charges related to a murder of a man in South Carolina last year. He is currently jailed in Augusta and awaiting extradition.
South Carolina officials are charging Odutola with murder, kidnapping and first degree burglary. The victim was Eldon W. Ledford, 61.
Ledford's body was found in a state of decomposition in the basement of a home in Jackson, South Carolina in November 2021. Ledford's hands and feet were bound. The coroner ruled last month (February) that Ledford died from blunt force trauma.
