Today is the first round of practice for the 86th Masters Tournament in Augusta later this week.

It will be a field of 90, if Tiger Woods announces he is playing. He flew to Augusta on Sunday to get in another round of practice, but said whether he will compete in the Masters this year will be a game-time decision.

If you have practice round tickets for today, the weather looks beautiful.  It should be partly cloudy with a high temperature of 79 degrees. Cameras are allowed on the course today, tomorrow and Wednesday, but not once the tournament begins on Thursday. Cell phones are prohibited at all times, as well as laptops, tablets, beepers and other electronic devices.

Those going to the Augusta National this week either for a practice round or the Masters Tournament need to keep in mind that all facilities on the grounds are now cashless.

  • Credit cards and debit cards are the only accepted methods of payment at concession stands, merchandise shops and shipping locations.
  • Patrons can have a picture taken, free of charge, at Founders Circle.
  • The Augusta National’s famous pimento cheese and egg salad sandwiches are just $1.50 each.  Other sandwiches available are either $2.50 or $3.00.  Soft drinks and bottled water are $2.00 each.
