Meet Chris O’Kelley’s Father!

Sunday is Father’s Day. My father passed away about 6 years ago and there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about him or miss him. He taught me a lot of things like how to treat people, how to be a good worker, how to love the Lord, how to be a good person and do the right things in life and all of those are things I use daily in my life. The biggest thing he ever did for me was introducing me to Country Music.

My dad loved country music. His favorite singers were Johnny Cash, Lefty Frizzell, Merle Haggard ( Wonder Where I Got It) and his all-time favorite was Hank Williams Sr. My Father loved going to Nashville and hitting the Ryman to see The Opry and now every time I go into the Ryman, I get chills thinking that many years apart my Father And I both were in the same building listening to Country Music and I think, the seat I’m in now, My Father could have sat there!
