This week we aren't traveling as far back in time as we have before. This week we're only going back to 2013, but there's a good reason for that. Today is Cole Swindell's 39th birthday so I decided to share with y'all the first time I met Cole. Cole Swindell was a brand new artist and came by the station to play us some music. We heard a bunch of songs that would be HUGE hits within a year including the song that put Cole on the map, "Chillin' It". Cole remembers this day very well, because after he finished singing we went next door to Big Daddy's BBQ (which unfortunately is no longer around) and had some beers and shots. We told Cole that we were going to start playing "Chillin' It" on Kicks99 that following week and he was ecstatic! We might've had another beer and shot after that. I even had the folks at Big Daddy's hook my phone up to their speaker system and play "Chillin' It" throughout the restaurant. We talked to Cole earlier this year and he still remembers that day! Happy Birthday Cole!
