Reba McEntire’s boyfriend Rex Linn is an actor, who has appeared on such TV shows at C.S.I. Miami and the current sitcom Young Sheldon. Reba is taking advantage of that fact and cast him in her new movie project for Lifetime, The Hammer, in which she acts in the lead role and is executive producer.
Reba is also co-starring with her good friend and former castmate on Reba, Melissa Peterman. The film is inspired by the life of traveling circuit judge Kim Wanker.
According to Deadline, the film follows Kim Wheeler; an outspoken firecracker lawyer appointed Judge of the 5th District of Nevada and one of the few traveling judges left in America. After the reigning Judge dies under suspicious circumstances, Kim finds herself covering a circuit that stretches between Las Vegas and Reno. As the investigation of the former Judge’s death heats up, Kim’s sister Kris (Peterman), who runs the local brothel, suddenly becomes the prime suspect. Kim must work even harder to ensure the appropriate justice is served.
Last week, Reba posted a photo with her boyfriend Linn and some other friends after a night out. She wrote, “Rex and I had a wonderful night out last night going to see our good friend Conrad John Schuck in” The Hiding Place.” So glad to get to sit with my wonderful friend Harrison.”
