We all have hobbies and extracurricular activities that we like to do that others may have no idea that even exist! For me, this is one of those. I just found out that this was even a thing about 4 or 5 years ago.
ESTATE SALES, Yes ESTATE Sales. Most every Saturday starts with breakfast at Waffle House on exit 5 in North Augusta (Hey Janet, who is my regular waitress), or the Airport Grill depending on where my first sale is! Then I hit the trail of sales. I have an app to help traffic the sales.
Most estate sales come from when people pass away and the family has gone through the home and taken what they want and sale the rest. There are several companies that organize and run the sales. They go through the home and price everything according to what they think the items are worth and what they can get for the item. Most sales are Thursday, Friday & Saturday. I do this just for fun but there are people who do this for a job and resale the items. That's why I wait till Saturday to see what's left and by Saturday most items are half price or you can even make an offer.
Over the years, I've bought man vinyl records, I've bought Clemson collector items, I've bought, stereo equipment, and even furniture that I've had refinished and Is in my house today but the list goes on and on. Got a kid going out on his own for the first time, go estate sale shopping, looking for craft Ideas, go estate sale shopping. So many things can be found. Here comes a few pictures of things you can find at estate sales that I ran across this weekend while I was out!
